My friend Carrie pulled her son out of school because there was no air conditioner

I assume that many schools don’t have air conditioners because of a few reasons.

  • A couple of which include the buildings are old and has been around before central air became commercialized.

And second, the kids get out for the Summer prior to the hottest days during the year. However, the weather is starting to warm up more and more prior to the kids getting out of school for the Summer. Currently, most of the country is experiencing a massive heatwave, which has left some parents concerned about the safety of their kids when they are in school. My friend Carrie pulled her son out of school because his school doesn’t have central air conditioning. I completely agree with her decision because if the school board refuses to install air conditioners, and they provide no relief for the kids, then parents must make the best decision in that situation. When I went to school, we didn’t have air conditioners in our classrooms. But the weather was nothing like it is today. Plus, we got out of school before the hot weather kicked in, so we didn’t really have an issue with no central air conditioning. Today, there have been so many schools that have released budgets to either improve their current air conditioning or to install new systems. Unfortunately, that is not the case for many schools across the country. So, until the school board comes up with a solution to this problem, I don’t blame my friend Carrie for doing what she had to do for the safety of her child.
