Trouble installing the gas heating equipment

I tried to install my own gas heating equipment, and it didn’t go entirely well.

  • I most definitely thought that I would do better at installing my own gas heating appliance.

For the record, I am not a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment worker, although I have worked with Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment workers for a long time. I am an electrician, and I mostly focus on helping with current builds. This basically means that when someone wants to build a house, I help install the electricity for the property. However, there are a fair amount of odd aspects of building a brand new property! While I am running wires throughout the house, I basically work next to a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment professional that is trying to install vents and create the respected plan for the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment. I even help install the wire for the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment worker to wire up the gas furnace and central air conditioner, since I have seen Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment workers install countless Heating, Ventilation, and A/C units. I actually figured that it wouldn’t be that tough to install my own gas heating equipment. My old gas furnace stopped working, and I had to order gas heating equipment. I had been using space furnaces for as long as a week, and I spent a fortune keeping my place completely warm. I made the choice to try to save currency by installing gas heating equipment rather than paying a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment worker to do it. I should not have done that. I had no clue in the least what I was doing, and I was honestly afraid that I had ruined the gas heating equipment! At the least, after hooking everything up, the gas heating equipment wouldn’t even crank on. Luckily, a single of my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business friends helped me install it and showed me what I did wrong with the installation.
