Renting out a few beachside properties

I am proud to own so many properties on the beach that I rent out on vrbo plus airbnb.

They are mostly tiny locales that are quite run down, that was how I was able to afford them.

Even though they aren’t of fantastic quality, they get rented always. Anytime someone isn’t in 1 of the rental units, I have a little more work done on it. I have the number for a handyman service that I call for big jobs. Those men redo floors, upgrade windows plus redo the low-lying seawalls that like to get knocked down. I also frequently call on my stairs leading to the sands of the beach. The sand, salt plus water always wear away at the wood. Sometimes the waves get so intense that my stairs get washed away. I have gotten the same rental unit stairs upgraded 4 times now. At this point I am tempted to tell the guy to just put a slide attached to the beach house. For anything that is more technical I hire out plumbing services, HVAC services plus all electrical work. At this point I coordinate all the repairs myself. Since it is for people renting short term, I always don’t get that numerous calls. My fiance handles all the scheduling plus arrivals with the tenants. I handle the upkeep plus repairs. Our system works great. Eventually I will want to turn everything over to a property supervisor, but for right now it is nice being able to keep all the money. My fiance doesn’t mind handling the people plus I don’t mind either doing it myself, or hiring out the general maintenance.
