Just give me one more chance and I know I can do it.

She didn’t talk to me for almost three days because she was angry at me for not letting her continue to work on the AC unit, but she enjoyed the new air conditioning unit

My wife is a do-it-yourself junkie. She is forever watching television shows that show you how to repair your own appliances. She watches shows about cooking too, but I never see her trying to make anything they make on the cooking show. That’s why she tried to repair the window air conditioning unit in our bedroom. She was sure she could make it run more efficiently because of a show she had seen on the television. I told her we could simply go into town and purchase a new air conditioning unit, which is what I wanted to do in the first place. She practically snarled when she turned and asked if I didn’t trust her? It had nothing to do with trust, but that she had no training to work on the air conditioner. She was furious and told me to give her one more chance. She knew she could do it, but I wasn’t so sure. I drug her away from the air conditioning unit and drove into town. I told her that she had wasted enough time already, and it was time to quit the futile attempt at repairing something that was irreparable. She didn’t talk to me for almost three days because she was angry at me for not letting her continue to work on the AC unit, but she enjoyed the new air conditioning unit. It took her almost a full week before she forgave me for taking her away from the air conditioner. She apologized and admitted she knew nothing of what she was doing.
