Plumbers fix appliances like garbage disposals and water heaters

Yesterday, I called my mom and she said that she was out with dad at a store.

At first, I thought they were at the grocery store or maybe the mall, but when I asked, she said they were at a major hardware store in their town.

I was actually surprised that my mom agreed to go to that store with my dad because my dad tends to spend hours walking around the isles of the place. It’s his favorite store because of all the home improvement products that they sell. Well, after a brief conversation, I found out that my dad was there to purchase a part to fix the faucet in the master bathroom. Now, I know my dad to be pretty handy, but I have not heard him fixing anything that a plumber should be handling. Perhaps fixing a leak is simpler than I think it is. I have had leaks in my home before and I have always just called my plumber George and he always takes care of them. Sometimes, I get confused about what a plumber fixes. For instance, when my garbage disposal broke, I wasn’t sure if I needed a handyman or a plumber. After a brief conversation with my dad, he told me that it was best to get a plumber to fix that. But when my dishwasher stopped working a few years ago, I thought I needed a plumber, but it turns out that plumbers do not fix dishwashers. In fact, plumbers fix mostly leaks, but it was good to find out that they also fix issues with the water heater. So, if my water heater ever goes out, at least I know who to call.
