A trip to the Pediatrician that brought to light the needs of our heater

A pediatrician asked a strange question a few weeks ago.

She wanted to know if we had done any heating system service recently.

My associate and I hadn’t. So we had to get to it as soon as possible. My associate and I were curious about the recommendation because our temperature control system could only help with indoor comfort. As parents of another infant, we’ve realized how clueless we are about most things, and it was high time we learned more about heating. The pediatrician was kind enough to explain that with the flu season coming, we needed to ensure that our hybrid heating system was part of the solution and not the problem. My associate and I had already invested in a hydronic heating system, so it certainly just needed heating, ventilation, and A/C service. She explained that when the heating system filter remains unchanged for a long time, it makes the air more polluted, which can worsen symptoms if any of us is sick. Immediately after we left the hospital, we called the heating corporation to come to check if the heater/heater upgrade had any troubles. The heating dealership responded promptly. The inspection was complete, and the heating, ventilation, and A/C repairman changed the filter due and discovered the need for boiler service while at it. When he was done, the heat and A/C product was back to its former glory. The only thing we needed, especially with the baby, would be a smart control component which we could entirely get from our heating dealer, however quality of life is so much better with another well-functioning heat pump.
