Practicing Spanish with the Local Cooling Representative

My friend, the cooling rep, speaks fluent Spanish and told me she would help me learn Spanish if I helped her learn beach volleyball.

I think that is a great tradeoff and I am excited to get going with this Spanish and learn it once and for all. I’ve been trying to learn the language for about six years now and just got stuck where I am now and don’t seem to be advancing with it. I guess I could also get someone who speaks no English to move in with me so I am forced to speak Spanish daily. This HVAC specialist, who speaks only Spanish, may be interested in moving into my flat but not for a few more months. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to learn the language that everyone else seems to pick up so quickly. I should just get a job at a local business near me where they speak only Spanish, that would put me on the fast track to learning it. I guess this HVAC rep will help me the same way so I just need to give it a try and see if I can get a grip on this language. Some of the locals laugh at me because I’ve been here so long and still don’t speak their language. I am going to go to the HVAC company and see if they have any good smart thermostats and install it myself. I think the directions are in Spanish so that would be a good lesson for me with the language.
